What Is Fascia?
Fascia is a sticky, web-like substance that covers the whole body from head to toe. It wraps and supports the muscles, bones, organs, tendons, blood vessels, etc. We now know that each strand or tubule of the fascia is filled with water which hydrates our cells allowing for freedom of movement.
When we develop postural patterns from injuries, surgeries, and trauma, emotional and physical, the fascia can stick together restricting movement causing pain and limitations. Myofascial Release Therapy addresses this.
